Ed Miliband is elected as Labour Leader

September 26th, 2010

Congratulations to Ed Miliband on becoming the leader of the Labour party. I think he will make a good leader and a good Prime Minister when Labour wins the next general election. I met Ed earlier this year at a meeting about the Disbaled Children’s Manifesto for Change. I have made a special edition video of this meeting to celebrate his election as leader. Please have a look – it’s quite funny!

Bad news for Jackie Chan fans

September 24th, 2010

Bad news for Chan fans! Speaking to the press earlier today in Oslo whilst promoting The Karate Kid –  Chan said his upcoming Chinese Zodiac will be his last big action film. It’s not all bad news though, Chan will continue to star and appear in films but showing off his acting ability as opposed to his muscle.

Shooting will commence next month in Shanghai and various others parts of Asia

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO upset. When I saw this

Planning for Success

September 8th, 2010

I want to be a film editor, be a actor for a film or on TV and star in a big movie one day, and maybe get on a TV chat show talking about my film to a famous Presenter, and hopefully I will get a lot of money from being on TV  and get on the news  and be on the front page of a newspaper.

I want to be a volunteer for the 2012 Olympic games in London, because I would be able to see my Granny and spend time with her in London, and also maybe meet some famous people, maybe even the queen and have tea with her and then play Boccia with her

“A BULLET IN THE HEAD !!”

September 5th, 2010

Yesterday afternoon, I attended a workshop about special effects screen make-up. I learnt about how to use make up to protray injuries like burns and bullet wounds.

Me with a fake bullet wound in the head

We all got to have a go with mixing the materials and applying it to each other. There was fake blood and strawberry jelly, and foundation powder – so don’t be too shocked when you see the photograph above.

I found it really interesting finding out out they make the gory scenes in action movies look so realistic. One day I hope to work on the production of action films or TV. The workshop in Edinburgh was run by SKAMM (Scottish Kids are Making Movies).

It was a great afternoon.

Hear Me

August 24th, 2010

Last friday I went to the Young people’s day at the Scottish Parliment building. This was part of the Festival of politics. In the morning I attended at really interesting workshop about young people and conflict, then in the afternoon I took part in the Hear me! manifesto pitches. which was part of the Right Blether Project. I represent for Scotland Disabled Children in the debates and spoke about problems young disabled people face in accessing education. Lots of young people took part in the debate and we all had good points to make. Tam Baillie the Ciommsioner for Children and Young People chair the debate.  I was also really excited when I saw that Annie Lennox came into the chamber to listen to us debating.

Must be the Music

July 2nd, 2010

Today I went to the filming of a music TV show for Sky 1  and it ‘s called Must Be the Music.

The judges ware  Dizzee Rascal,Jamie Cullum and Sharleen Spiteri.

Only one act got through , a rapper like Dizzee. I got to congratulate him after the show.

I think that Dizzee Rascal is going to be the next Simon Cowell.

I enjoyed watching the show being filmed.

This is a picture of the judges on the panel.
